109 student-athletes named to the 2016-17 MIAA Academic Honor Roll

One hundred and nine (109) Olivet College student-athletes have been named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll for 2016-17. Olivet succeeded the 100 plateau for the fourth time in school history.

Olivet College senior punter Ryan Anderson has been named to the 2016 American Football Coaches Association All-America First Team. Anderson is one of four players to earn this honor for a second consecutive year.

Olivet College senior punter Ryan Anderson has been voted the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-American® of the Year for NCAA Division III Football. Senior tight end Travis Lankerd joins him on the Academic All-America® first-team.

Football team claims outright MIAA title with 44-27 win over Trine

The Olivet College football team claimed an outright Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association title with a 44-27 win over (MIAA) Trine (Ind.) University this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The outright title is the first in school history since 1974. Combined with last year’s championship, the Comets have won back-to-back MIAA titles for the first time since 1913 and 1914.
