Wrestling: Olivet’s Allen advances to NCAA DIII National Championships
Senior Nick Allen was the Olivet College wrestler to punch a ticket to the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championships. Allen did so with a third-place finish in the 174-pound bracket today at the 2015 NCAA DIII Midwest Regional, hosted by Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Four individual champions led the Olivet College wrestling team to a second-place finish at the 2015 Mid-States Conference Tournament today inside The Cutler Event Center in Olivet. In addition, Curtis Blackwell was named the Most Outstanding Freshman Wrestler.

The Olivet College wrestling team finished in 27th-place at the 2015 Pete Willson-Wheaton Invitational inside King Arena in Wheaton, Illinois. The Comets totaled only 13.5 points and all 10 wrestlers have been eliminated from the tournament.

Wrestling: Allen finishes with 4-0 record, Comets split four matches at National Duals
The Olivet College wrestling team split four matches today at the 2015 NWCA Multi-Divisional National Duals, held inside the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Comets slipped past New York University, 19-16, before falling to Wartburg, 31-6, in the first round. Olivet then defeated Heidelberg, 21-12, and lost 26-9 to Ithaca.

The Olivet College wrestling team posted a 1-2 record today at the 2015 Wendy’s Mid-Atlantic Duals. The Comets defeated West Liberty (20-16), but fell to East Stroudsburg (21-20) and Ashland (21-17).

The Olivet College wrestling team has climbed into the National Wrestling Coaches Association Top 30 poll for the first time in 2014-15. After being unranked for the first two polls of the season, the Comets make their debut at No. 21.
