Travel Directions to The University of Olivet
The University of Olivet is located in south central Michigan, 30 miles southwest of Lansing, the state capital, and 125 miles west of Detroit.
CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: A major construction project on I-69 near Olivet is in progress. According to the MDOT website, the southbound lanes of I-69 from I-94 to north of Ainger Road (Exit #51) are currently being rebuilt, as well as the interchange ramps along that route. Thus all of the traffic will be traveling in the northbound lanes of I-69. Please allow some extra time when coming to Olivet. If you are coming areas south of Olivet, you may want to take Old US-27 and head north into Olivet to avoid the construction on I-69.
Effective August 26, the M-78 ramp to southbound I-69 and southbound I-69 ramp to Ainger Road (Exit #51) are closed. If you are coming from the north, you will need to take Exit #57 (Cochran Road) since both Olivet exits (#48 and #51) are closed. From the off ramp, turn left to head south towards Olivet (about a six mile drive). If you need to go south when leaving Olivet, you will need to follow the detour or go through downtown Olivet, and enter I-69 South at the Ainger Road ramp.
From Detroit (South): Take I-94 west to I-69 north. Follow I-69 north to Exit #48, the first Olivet exit. From the exit ramp turn right. Proceed until you reach a stop sign at Main Street, about 1 mile. Turn left at the stop sign and follow to the heart of campus (about 1/2 mile).
From Detroit (North): Take I-696 west to I-96 west to I-69 south. Follow I-69 south to Exit #51 (Ainger Road). From the exit ramp turn left. Proceed until you reach a stop sign at Main Street, about 1 mile. Turn right at the stop sign and follow to the heart of campus (about 1/2 mile). Due to construction, the Ainger Road ramp (Exit #48) is closed. You are encouraged to go one more exit to the south (Exit #48). Turn left onto Butterfield Highway and follow the final directions above for From Detroit (South).
From Lansing: Take I-69 south to Exit #51 (Ainger Road). From the exit ramp turn left. Proceed until you reach a stop sign at Main Street, about 1 mile. From Mount Pleasant: Take 127 south to I-69 west/south. Follow I-69 south to Exit #51 (Ainger Road). From the exit ramp turn left. Proceed until you reach a stop sign at Main Street, about 1 mile. Turn right at the stop sign and follow to the heart of campus (about 1/2 mile). Due to construction, the Ainger Road ramp (Exit #48) is closed. You are encouraged to go one more exit to the south (Exit #48). Turn left onto Butterfield Highway and follow the final directions above for From Detroit (South).
The address for the Cutler Event Center is 9049 S. Marshall Rd., Olivet, MI 49076. Cutler Event Center is at the corner of Main Street and Butterfield Highway (across the street from the Marathon gas station).
