School-record 111 student-athletes land on 2013-14 MIAA Academic Honor Roll

A school-record 111 Olivet College student-athletes have landed a spot on the 2013-14 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic (MIAA) Honor Roll. Olivet topped the 100 plateau for the first time in school history, with the previous high being 91 for both the 2006-07 and 2007-08 academic years.

Baseball team splits pitcher’s duels against Hope

The Olivet College baseball team split a pair of pitcher’s duels against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Hope College today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. In the first game, senior Jake Ball (Cadillac) was on the losing end of a 2-0 loss, while sophomore Colin Boak (Fowlerville) threw a complete game, five-hit 1-0 shutout win in game two.

The Olivet College baseball team split a non-conference doubleheader against Rochester College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets lost the first game 11-2 before bouncing back to win the nightcap, 10-4.

The Olivet College baseball team lost both games of a MIAA doubleheader against Kalamazoo College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. Kalamazoo pounded out 16 hits to win the opener, 15-7, and rallied to win the second game, 7-2.
