Olivet College’s Boak named MIAA Pitcher of the Week

OLIVET, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Colin Boak (Fowlerville) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Pitcher of the Week. He is being honored for the first time in his career.
Boak threw a complete game, five-hit 1-0 shutout in his final start of the season May 2 against Hope College at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. Throwing 101 total pitches, he struck out nine and walked only one. Boak finished the 2014 season with a team-leading three wins, while posting a 3.20 ERA in 50 and two-thirds innings.
