#KnowYourOCAthleticsStaff: Geoff Henson

With only a few athletic teams competing this fall, we knew the Olivet College fans are going to miss sports just as much as our student-athletes, coaches and athletic staff. We are hoping to fill that void by having some special content on our website throughout the semester. On Mondays, you will get to #KnowYourOCAthleticsStaff through some questions and answers with our head coaches and athletic administration.

Question 1: What is your name?
Answer 1: Geoff Henson

Q2: What is your current job title?
A2: Sports Information Director

Q3: How long have you been at Olivet?
A3: Since October 2002, so I recently started my 19th year at Olivet.

Q4: What made you decide to come to Olivet?
A4: The opportunity to be a full-time SID at a small school.

Q5: What is the number one reason you tell a prospective student-athlete on why he/she should attend Olivet?
A5: The relationships with the athletics staff, the remaining faculty and staff and fellow student-athletes. These people will become your life-long friends.

Q6: Where did you attend college?
A6: Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, now known as Baldwin Wallace University.

Q7: Did you play any sports in college?
A7: Did not but worked in the sports information office during my time as an undergraduate student.

Q8: What is an interesting fact about yourself that nobody knows?
A8: I have a twin sister, and my dad also has a twin sister. Myself and my dad are the "youngest" child in our family.

Q9: Family?
A9: Single and live in Charlotte. All of my immediate family -- dad, two older brothers, and twin sister all live in different towns in Ohio.
