Bio

You were a member of a high school football championship team when you came to Olivet. You continued to be a champion and were awarded nine varsity letters in four sports while competing for the Olivet Comets. You gained state recognition on the gridiron, but also earned three track letters, and one each in basketball and wrestling.

On the football field, you averaged five yards per carry and were an honorable mention All-American in 1968, All-State in 1967, and All-MIAA in 1967 and 1968. In 1967, you led the MIAA in rushing and scoring. In 1968, you served as co-cptain and was voted the team's MVP. In 1969, you were drafted by the Buffalo Bills and Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

As a wrestler, you were All-MIAA at 191 pounds. You received all-MIAA honors in track in 1966 and were a league long jump champ while holding school records in long jump, triple jump, and 100 yard dash.

You majored in social studies at Olivet, attained a Master’s Degree from Michigan State University and are using your talents guiding and counseling young people. You are remembered as one of the greatest halfbacks to play for Olivet College, and we are proud to induct you into the Olivet College Hall of Fame on this 11th day of October, 1986.
