Bio

You came to Olivet after playing two seasons of softball at Lake Michigan College. Despite being at Olivet for only two years, you made a significant impact on the team. In 2004, you were a first-team All-MIAA pick. You started every game and posted a .360 batting average as well as 28 runs scored and 12 doubles.

In 2005, you earned third-team Louisville Slugger/NFCA All-America, first-team NFCA All-Central Region and first-team All-MIAA honors. You started every game behind the plate, and led the Comets to a 22-14 overall record and a spot in the MIAA Tournament. At the plate, you had a .390 batting average to go along with a single-season school record nine home runs, 91 total bases, .740 slugging percentage and 50 RBI. You are still the career leader with a .616 slugging percentage  and were the all-time leader at your graduation with 26 doubles, 9 home runs and 61 RBI.

After exhausting your collegiate eligibility in 2005, you remained at Olivet for one more academic year to complete your student teaching assignment and a double major in secondary physical education and biology. During the 2006 softball season, you served as a student assistant coach under head coach James Farnum.

Since leaving Olivet, you completed a master’s degree in education from Western Michigan University in 2009 and are working on a second master’s degree in pedagogy from WMU. You are a physical education teacher at White Knoll High School in Lexington, S.C., and have been coaching softball at all levels, including collegiate, high school and travel ball. You were named Ms. Michigan and Ms. United States through the World Beauties organization in 2012.

Olivet honors you and is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame this 2nd day of October, 2015.
