Bio

At Olivet College you excelled in basketball, track and field. On the court you scored over 1,250 points and had over 600 rebounds. Your skills have shown forth in 1979, 1980 and 1981 as you were voted the team’s Most Valuable Player. You lettered in basketball all four years and because of your popularity among teammates were voted co-captain for the 1979, 1980 and 1981 seasons. Four times during your basketball career ou were named MIAA Player of the Week. For three seasons you were named either to the First or Second All-MIAA Team. As a senior you were second in the MIAA league scoring, averaged 18.7 points per game, and third in rebounding. In intramural athletics you played football, basketball, and softball. Your athletic abilities were also proven in track and field, where you were a teammate for two years. You were a member of the Kappa Sigma Alpha fraternity, and your brothers, as well as your devoted parents, encouraged you to do your best.

In 1988 you returned to Olivet College to receive the All-MIAA Athlete Award during Olivet’s celebration of 100 years in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

Because of your outstanding athletic abilities, it is with great pride that on this 10th day of September 1993, we induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame. Congratulations!
