Bio

As a student at Medway High School in Massachusetts you excelled in both football and track. You and your twin brother Robert were recruited by Owen Whitkopf and Coach Stu Parcell to play football at Olivet College, a sport you played all four years and lettered in three years. Your talent as an athlete was rewarded by selection as Offensive Lineman of the Week (5 times) and all conference MIAA selection in 1966 and 1967. You were honored as All Michigan in 1967.

As a student you were prominent on campus as a member of Phi Alpha Pi Faternity and the Olivet College Economics Club. You earned a BA from Olivet College with a major in economics in 1968. After Olivet you pursued graduate studies at Northeastern University and earned certification as a hazardous waste planner in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Since 1980 you have served as vice president of E. Parella Company, Inc., your family billiard and bowling manufacturing business in Medway. You have also been an active citizen of your community serving as president of the Medway Business Council, chairman of the Town of Medway Board of Health, as a member of the Medway Industrial Development Committee, Medway High School Curriculum Committee and the Medway Zoning Board of Appeals. You have also been an active member of St. Joseph's Parish Church.

As a member of the Oaks Society and other Olivet College fundraising activities you have served your Alma Mater well. In 1992 you were honored with the Distinguish Alumni Award by the Olivet College Alumni Association.

Because of your outstanding abilities as an athlete as an alumnus and as a businessperson it is with great pride that this 16th day of Septmeber 2000 we induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame.
