Bio

Coming to Olivet from Regina, Saskatchewan, you were a four-year letterwinner as a member of the men’s golf team and were part of three MIAA championship teams. As a freshman, you earned your first varsity letter and helped Olivet to a 10th-place finish at the 1994 NCAA Championships in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

As a sophomore in 1994, you were in the starting five and averaged 78.9 strokes in seven rounds to earn second-team All-MIAA honors. In the spring, you helped the Comets finish in 20th-place at the 1995 NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Your best season of collegiate golf was your junior year when you posted a 76.6 stroke average. For that performance, you were the MIAA Most Valuable Golfer and earned first-team All-MIAA honors. Your low round of the season was a 73 at the Pine River Country Club.

As a senior in 1996, you were a part of the starting lineup. You helped Olivet qualify for the 1997 NCAA Division III Championships in Westerville, Ohio, and the Comets placed 13th.

You graduated from Olivet with a 4.0 GPA and bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Since leaving Olivet, you have continued your education and earned a master’s of science degree in epidemiology from Michigan State University in 1999 and doctorate of medicine from University of Ottawa in 2003.

You held research assistant positions while you were completing your master’s degree and doctorate program. You are currently the assistant head team physician, staff physician at Campus Health Services and faculty member at the University of Arizona.

Olivet honors you and is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame this 28th day of September, 2018.
