Bio

During your years as a student athlete at Olivet College you lettered all four years in Basketball. Your exceptional abilities in your sport helped your team win three consecutive MIAA conference championships. Your talents brought many honors including being named to the All-Tournament Team in the Marshall Classic in 1972, All-MIAA Honorable Mention in 1971, All-MIAA 2nd team in 1972, and All-MIAA in 1973. You were also named Olivet’s Most Valuable Player during the 1972-73 season. Your abilities as a team leader were demonstrated when your team named you Co-Captain in your senior year.

You excelled as a student as well. You were a member and President of the Kappa Sigma Alpha Fraternity. You won the Torch Run on Homecoming in 1972. Your campus leadership skills were rewarded during your senior year when you were named to the Omicron Delta Kappa, the national scholastic and leadership honorary fraternity and Who’s Who Among American College and University Students.

After graduation from Olivet you continued your education and obtained an M.A. from Western Michigan University. You have distinguished yourself in the field of juvenile justice and the judicial process which has led to your current position as Manager of Probate Court Services for the Michigan Supreme Court. Your interest in basketball has continued as you have officiated at many events including the state high school finals and several NCAA, Division III tournaments.

Because of your outstanding abilities as an athlete and as a student, it is with great pride that on this 26th day of October, 1996, we induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame.
