One of Olivet’s all-time great basketball stars, he set a new
career scoring record of 1,602 points in 1967-68. He was the Most
Valuable Player on the Comet team for all four years, led in total
scoring each of the four years, and set an Olivet record of 44
points for high score in a single game. He was captain of the Comet
team as a senior.
He was a leader in the MIAA in several categories, including
rebounds, and scoring percentage on free throws and field goals.
MIAA coaches picked him for the MIAA second team when he was a
freshman, and as a member of the all-MIAA team in his sophomore,
junior and senior years.
He also played defensive end on the Olivet Comets football team,
and in 1967 was picked for the all-MIAA football team and on the
All-State College football team.
He was a leader in campus activities, and served as president of
Phi Alpha Pi fraternity. In 1968, he won the Walter Sprandel

In recognition of his outstanding accomplishments, Olivet College
is pleased to induct him into the Athletic Hall of Fame.
