Bio
You earned two varsity letters as a member of the women’s basketball team. You were a two-time All-MIAA First Team selection. You were the MIAA scoring champion in 2006, and was second in the scoring race in 2007. In your first season at Olivet, you broke the single-season scoring record with 479 points. You narrowly missed breaking your own record in your second season, finishing with 459 points. At the time of graduation, you ranked 1-2 on the single-season ledger for points and field goals made. You still hold the Comets’ single-season records with 126 free throws made and 157 free throws attempted in 2005-06. Despite playing only two seasons at Olivet, you are eighth all-time with 938 points and 330 field goals made, and tied for second with 223 free throws made.
You earned a bachelor’s degree from Olivet in marketing management. You continued your education and earned a master’s degree in education leadership from Western Michigan University in 2009. You are the founder, owner and operator of the Hard Work Sports Basketball program in Battle Creek. In addition, you have taught at Kellogg Community College for the last eight years.
Olivet honors you and is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame this 11th day of October, 2019.
