Bio
Arthur Greenstone - as a freshman you won the first game you ever
pitched as an Olivet College baseball player. Four years later you
were still winning the games. Many people recall your high spirited
cheers of encouragement to fellow players and your well chosen
words advising umpires about the “inaccuracy” of their
last call.
You were selected to the all-MIAA baseball team for two
consecutive years. In fact, so fine was your demeanor as a player
that the coach of another MIAA school placed in writing his praise
for you. As a young man at home on the mound you already reflected
the spirit of fair play that was to be part of your future
profession in the field of law.
As you scored well in athletics and your academic program, you
also scored high in the hearts of classmates and won accolades from
your professors. Through your endeavors, Olivet was witness to the
combining of dedicated sportsmanship and high academic
achievements.
For your dignity and proud spirit, Olivet extends to you its
thanks and inducts you into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of
Fame.
