Bio

The captain of both the basketball and football teams as well as an outstanding athlete while at Olivet. He attended Rush Medical School in Chicago and the University of Michigan and has practiced medicine in Manistique since 1936. He served with honor as a combat physician for the Marine Corps during World War II, receiving the Bronze Star with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Combat Medical Medal, the Silver Star with two clusters and the French Croix de Guerre. He has numerous civic accomplishments and is a member of the Olivet Alumni Association. He received an Alumni Citation in June 1970.
