Bio
Nine-letter man in the three sports of football, basketball, and
golf, his stamina was outstanding as he played every game for three
consecutive years. His role as football captain in ’39, and
basketball captain in ’39 and ’40, exemplify his
capacity for leadership and enthusiasm for play. He received
honorable mention in football in 1938, was chosen All-MIAA in
basketball in 1940, and established several outstanding scoring
records in all three sports. Olivet will long remember him as one
of the great “Iron Men” of sports.
