Bio
Outstanding athletic abilities as a student led you to win All-MIAA
honors for two years in softball, one year in basketball and one
year in volleyball. You also had the distinction of lettering two
years each for softball, basketball and volleyball.
Your forte was softball! In 1980 you pitched the first no-hitter
game in the history of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic
Association and became a National All-Star Champion in the senior
division of the Softball American National tournaments played in
San Diego, California, your sophomore year. Your team placed fourth
in the nation.
Your pleasant personality and spirited leadership have led you to
receive an advanced degree from Western Michigan University in
elementary education. You are now an outstanding teacher and coach
in Hastings, Michigan and you have enriched the lives of many young
people through your coaching of volleyball, softball and basketball
at all grade levels.
Because of your outstanding athletic abilities and devotion to
Olivet College we welcome you this day, October 3, 1992, into the
Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame.
