Bio
You came to Olivet College as a winner and left a winner. A member
of the River Rouge 1965 State High School Championship Baseball
Team, you were also a winner at Olivet where you received four
letters in Basketball. You were selected as co-captain of the
basketball team during your junior and senior years and are in the
top ten of Olivet’s all-time career scorers. In 1970 you were
the team leader when Olivet College finished fifth in the nation in
free throw shooting among NCAA Division III college with a score of
86 percent.
As a student you made the Dean’s List, besides playing
Intramural Football and Baseball. You were active in student
affairs and realized your hope to be certified as an elementary
school teacher.
You returned to River Rouge schools as an elementary teacher and
have been a Football, Basketball, and Track coach in high school.
After receiving your master’s degree from Oakland University
you became an administrator at Sabbath School in River Rouge.
You brought honor to Olivet while a student and today you are
fulfilling your goals as an educator. Because you represent the
best that is Olivet College, you are being inducted into the Olivet
College Athletic Hall of Fame on this 15th day of October,
1983.
