Athlete “per excellente.” You came to Olivet with your sights set high. With skill and determination you always played to win. For four years you lettered in baseball. In the fall you showed your strength by playing football-and indeed you lettered three years in this sport.

In 1980 your teammates voted you most valuable player in baseball, and in 1981 you were elected to that most prestigious status of: All-MIAA for the spring baseball season. Today, many coaches still remember Rick Beck as a most formidable foe.

Today in recognition of your contributions to your Alma Mater, you are inducted into the Olivet College Athletic Hall of Fame on this 12th day of January 1991.
