Bio
Athlete suberb, he won 14 major varsity letters as player, captain,
and coach. He was a varsity team member in football, basketball,
golf and baseball. Olivet College will long remember his devotion
to the his alma mater when in 1954 he served as both player and
coach of the baseball team. In 1954 he was elected to the All-MIAA
first team in football and as Most Valuable Player. Out of such
leadership, others have followed after, with greater fame perhaps,
but none with more intense enthusiasm for the sport and Olivet.
