Bio
Because records are made to be broken you have provided the goal
toward which others must strive. Few have stepped into the arena of
combat as you have with instincts to win--and always with the
demeanor of a gentleman.
Your records are piled high, one upon the other. You won four
M.I.A.A. League Championships in Wrestling and were named to the
all-conference team four consecutive times. You are the only Olivet
wrestler to achieve over 100 wins in your collegiate career.
Amateur Wrestling News named you to its all-American team in 1973
and you completed your Olivet career by captaining the team in both
your junior and senior years.
As a student you were active in campus affairs. Your background at
Olivet College prepared you for work in youth counseling and a
master’s degree from Western Michigan University. While
serving young people you are pursuing another graduate degree in
Specialty Program in Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
As the generation of young people come and go, each in its turn
will speak with pride of your achievements. It is with this same
pride therefore that Olivet College inducts you into the Olivet
College Athletic Hall of Fame on this 15th day of October,
1983.
