Bio
You were a letterwinner in football, baseball and track at Olivet
College. In track, you were a three-time All-Michigan
Intercollegiate Athletic Association selection and a two-time
All-American. You were the MIAA champion in the 100-meter dash in
1982 and 1984 with times of 10.86 and 10.8, respectively. You also
competed in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA Division III National
Track and Field Meet, tying for seventh-place in 1983 and tying for
second-place in 1984.
For many years, you held the Olivet record with a 77-yard
touchdown reception. You earned the nickname “Doc Quick
Six,” because you scored a touchdown every 1.6 times you
touched the ball. You also averaged 41 yards per catch.
After graduating from Olivet, you played one year in the National
Football League, one year in the United States Football League and
five years in a semi-professional league. You have also worked in
various fields, including juvenile prevention, retail management
and as a golf club professional.
Olivet is proud to induct you into the Olivet College Athletic
Hall of Fame on this 9th day of September, 2005.
