BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The bottom of the lineup helped The University of Olivet men's tennis team defeat Earlham (Ind.) College, 6-3, today at the Minges Creek Athletic Club.
- Final Score: Olivet 6, Earlham 3
- Location: Minges Creek Athletic Club; Battle Creek, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 2-4 overall, Earlham 1-4 overall
- The Comets won the last two doubles flights before winning the bottom four positions in singles to post the 6-3 win.
- Sophomore Ryan Ganger and freshman Alex Jonas cruised to a win at No. 2 doubles.
- Freshmen Josh Moore and Austin Whitney claimed an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
- Jonas and Whitney earned straight set wins at No. 3 and 5 singles, respectively.
- At No. 4 singles, Moore won the first set, 6-4, lost the second set, 6-2, and won the third set, 6-1.
- Ganger rallied for a three-set win at No. 6 singles. After losing the first set, 6-2, he won the next two sets, 6-2 and 6-0.
- Olivet heads to Virginia for three matches during its spring break. The Comets face Ferrum (Va.) College in their first match next Sunday, March 10, starting at 12 p.m.
