Cross country teams compete at Inter-Regional Rumble
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed this morning at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College. The races showcased a large number of schools who will be competing alongside the Comets at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meet on Nov. 12.

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams competed this morning at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin (Ohio) College. The races showcased a large number of schools who will be competing alongside the Comets at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional meet on Nov. 12.
THE BASICS
Location: Oberlin College; Oberlin, Ohio
FOR THE COMET MEN (8K RUN)
- Olivet placed 23rd of 32 schools.
- Junior Bruce Baker was the first Comet to cross the finish line, as he ran the race in a lifetime-best time of 25:38.9 to place 33rd of 275 runners.
- Senior Connor Bauserman was next in a career-best time of 25:53.9 to finish 43rd.
- Senior Patrick Donovan also had a lifetime-best time at 28:20.2.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN (6K RUN)
- Olivet finished in 24th-place of 29 schools.
- Senior Allyson Schultz placed 93rd of 255 runners with a time of 23:49.9.
- Junior Nicole Zerfas posted a season-best time of 24:30.4.
- Sophomore Jessica Taylor and senior Brianna Wiles had lifetime-best times of 25:11.9 and 26:02.3, respectively.

UP NEXT
- Olivet is now idle until Saturday, Oct. 29, when it runs at the 2016 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Championships. Albion College is the host school and the races will take place at the Tomac Woods Golf Course in Albion.
