Cross country teams open season at Comet Open
The Olivet College men’s and women’s cross country teams opened their 2016 season at the Comet Open, held at the Broadway Acres Golf Course in Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, Mich. – The Olivet College men's and women's cross country teams opened their 2016 season at the Comet Open, held at the Broadway Acres Golf Course in Charlotte.
THE BASICS
Location: Broadway Acres Golf Course; Charlotte, Mich.
FOR THE COMET MEN (5K RUN)
- Junior Bruce Baker won the men's race with a personal-best time of 15:56.00.
- Senior Connor Bauserman finished in fifth-place with a life-time best at 16:19.20.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN (5K RUN)
- Sophomore Nicole Sebok was the highest Olivet finisher, crossing the line in 21:26.40.
- Sophomore Jessica Taylor was next at 21:28.40, followed by senior Brianna Wiles with a personal-best at 21:32.70.
UP NEXT
- Olivet is idle until Friday, Sept. 16, when it runs at the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational. The races will take place at the Forest Acres East Golf Course in East Lansing. The men's 8K race will start at 11:50 a.m., followed by the women's 6K race at 12:30 p.m.
