Giannunzio chosen MIAA Specialist of the Week

HUDSONVILLE, Ohio – Senior Teagan Giannunzio from The University of Olivet has been selected as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Specialist of the Week for women's volleyball.

In two matches last week, Giannunzio totaled 66 set assists and 27 digs at the Ohio Christian University Triangular. In the first match against the host Trailblazers, Giannunzio had 34 assists and 11 digs. She followed that with a team-high 32 assists and 16 digs against Salem (W.Va.) University. The totals helped Giannunzio average 11.0 assists and 4.5 digs per set. For the season, she has 457 assists and 110 digs.

Giannunzio and the Comets (11-4) travel to play Anderson (Ind.) University on Wednesday night. The first serve at the O.C. Lewis Gymnasium is at 6:30 p.m.
