TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The University of Olivet women's volleyball team was swept in two matches at the Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology Invitational tonight inside Hulbert Arena. In their first match, the Comets fell to Anderson (Ind.) University and Baldwin Wallace (Ohio) University.
- Final Score: Anderson defeated Olivet 25-22, 25-15, 25-16
- Location: Hulbert Arena; Terre Haute, Indiana
- Records: Olivet 8-5 overall, Anderson 5-6 overall
- All three sets were similar as the scores were close early, creating multiple tied scores. The Ravens used large scoring runs in the middle portion of each set to take double digit leads. The Comets were never able to close the gap in any of the sets.
- For the match, Olivet recorded 28 kills.
- Junior Abi Nunez led the way with nine kills and a .250 attack percentage.
- Senior Morgan Dillon finished with six kills and three blocks.
- Junior Teagan Giannunzio tallied 16 set assists.
- Sophomore Jaydn Cary topped the defense with 16 digs.

- In the first set, the Yellow Jackets built a three-point lead on three occasions. After the third time at 17-14, the Comets scored five straight points to gain an 18-17 lead. From that point, the teams traded points to cause five tied scores. Following the last one at 22-22, Olivet scored the next two points on a kill by sophomore Isabella Wagasy and BW attack error. The Yellow Jackets answered with a kill and Comet attack error to even the score at 24-24. Another BW attack error made the score 25-24 before three straight Yellow Jacket kills earned them the set win.
- Olivet held a three-point lead twice in the second set. BW used a 13-3 run to turn a 10-7 deficit into a 20-13 lead. The Comets did not recover from the disadvantage, losing the set by a 25-17 score.
- In the third set, Olivet had the lead in the early stages. After tying the score at 6-6, the Yellow Jackets scored the next three points and never looked back. BW won the set by a 25-14 final.
- Dillon and Nunez each registered eight kills.
- Giannunzio recorded 20 set assists and 11 digs.
- Cary notched a team-leading 13 digs, while Nunez had 12.
- The Comets have two more matches tomorrow at the Rose-Hulman Invitational. Olivet plays Asbury (Ky.) University at 1 p.m., followed by a match against the host Fightin' Engineers.
