Women’s volleyball team falls to No. 23 Albion in three sets

Albion entered the match ranked No. 23 in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College women's volleyball team fell to Albion College in a three-set match to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) this evening at the Cutler Event Center. Albion entered the match ranked No. 23 in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll.
- Final Score: Albion defeated Olivet 25-11, 25-14, 25-6
- Location: Cutler Event Center; Olivet, Michigan
- Records: Olivet 3-14 overall, 1-2 MIAA; Albion 16-2 overall, 3-1 MIAA
- After Olivet scored the first point of the opening set, Albion went on a 7-0 run. The Britons led by as many as 17 points before settling for a 25-11 victory.
- The Comets led 2-0 in the first set. Following a 6-4 Albion lead, two Briton attack errors leveled the score at 6-6. Albion scored the next three points and did not trail for the rest of the set, winning by a 25-14 score.
- The Britons raced out to a 9-0 lead in the third set and never looked back.
- Olivet had 16 kills in the match.
- Junior Olivia DuFore and senior Ellie Louiselle each finished with five kills.
- Senior Kennedy Blackburn dished out seven assists.
- Senior Jill Arends tallied a team-leading seven digs.
- Chloe Webber recorded 17 of the 40 Albion kills. She did not have an error on 28 attempts for a .607 attack percentage.
- Kaylynne Nicholson was next with seven kills.
- Mariah Brenz had 35 set assists.
- Courtney Companion registered 11 digs.
- Olivet hosts Kalamazoo College Thursday night at 6:30 p.m.
