Women’s volleyball team has 0-2 record at Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Olivet College women's volleyball team posted an 0-2 record in two non-conference matches this morning at the Bluffton (Ohio) University Beaver Fall Classic and inside the Sommer Center. In their first match, the Comets lost in three sets to University of Rochester (N.Y.) before the host Beavers rallied to beat them in five sets. For their performances, senior Kennedy Blackburn and junior Morgan Dillon were named to the All-Tournament Team.

• Dillon and senior Ellie Louiselle recorded seven kills each.

• Alexia Nelms had a match-best 35 set assists.
• Caroline Hoag tallied 18 digs.

• Dillon led all players with 16 kills.
• Junior Emily Keeler finished with 10 kills and served seven aces.
• Louiselle and sophomore Alia Riehl each had nine kills.
• Blackburn dished out 41 set assists.
• Arends topped Olivet with 19 digs, while sophomore Kayin Harper had 16 digs.
• As a team, the Comets notched 15 service aces.

• Kaylie Campbell and Alysha Like finished with 15 and 14 kills, respectively.
• Maddie White tallied 28 set assists, followed by Gabby Williams with 22.
• Emma Organ had a match-best 20 digs.

• The Comets host Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Adrian College next Tuesday, September 27. First serve at the Cutler Event Center is 6:30 p.m.
