Women’s volleyball team sweeps SUNY Cobleskill
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Olivet College women's volleyball team downed State University of New York Cobleskill in three sets today in its final match at the Moravian Greyhound Premiere Invitational. Olivet finishes its first weekend of the 2022 season with a 2-1 record. For her efforts, junior Emily Keeler was named to the All-Tournament Team.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Olivet College women's volleyball team downed State University of New York Cobleskill in three sets today in its final match at the Moravian Greyhound Premiere Invitational. Olivet finishes its first weekend of the 2022 season with a 2-1 record. For her efforts, junior Emily Keeler was named to the All-Tournament Team.

- In the first set, the Fighting Tigers led 2-0 before the Comets rattled off four straight points to go up 4-2. Olivet did not give up the lead for the rest of the set.
- In the second set, neither team led by more than two points until the Comets used a 4-0 run to turn a 5-4 deficit into an 8-5 lead. Olivet held the advantage for the remainder of the set, leading by as many as seven points.
- The Comets opened the third set on a 4-0 spurt. Later in the set, Olivet's lead grew to 12 points, 18-6. The Fighting Tigers put three straight points on the scoreboard before the Comets wrapped-up the set with seven straight points. Five of the points in the run were the result of errors for Cobleskill.
- Olivet finished the match with 33 kills compared to 17 for the Fighting Tigers. The Comets also posted a .208 hitting percentage, while Cobleskill hit a -.031 clip. Olivet served 11 aces to three for the Tigers.
- Junior Morgan Dillon and senior Ellie Louiselle each tallied eight kills.
- Freshman Violet Porter was next with six kills, followed by freshman Hannah Pratt with five kills.
- Senior Kennedy Blackburn dished out 27 kills and dumped three balls over the next for kills.
- Senior Jill Arends and freshman Morgan Hackworth had three aces apiece.
- Hackworth topped the defensive effort with six digs.
- Mackenzie Larson had a team-leading eight kills.
- Jade Ward recorded 12 set assists.
- Lydia McDonough collected a match-high seven digs.
- Olivet is back in action Wednesday, September 7, for a non-conference match at Anderson (Ind.) University. First serve is at 7 p.m.
