Women’s volleyball team ends season with two losses
WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Olivet College women’s volleyball team lost two non-conference matches this afternoon at the Fred Raizk Arena. The Comets fell to John Carroll (Ohio) University in four sets before losing to Wilmington (Ohio) College in three sets.

WILMINGTON, Ohio – The Olivet College women's volleyball team lost two non-conference matches this afternoon at the Fred Raizk Arena. The Comets fell to John Carroll (Ohio) University in four sets before losing to Wilmington (Ohio) College in three sets.
Final Score: John Carroll defeated Olivet 25-9, 23-25, 25-18, 25-18

- The Blue Streaks never trailed in the first set.
- The Comets raced out to a 3-0 lead in the second set. John Carroll battled back and leveled the score at 11-11. Olivet put six of the next seven points on the scoreboard to go ahead 17-12. The Blue Streaks rallied to tie the score at 21-21. Three Comet points made the score 24-21. John Carroll scored two points before a kill by junior Ellie Louiselle ended the set in Olivet's favor.
- The third set was like the first set, as the Blue Streaks had a wire-to-wire lead.
- John Carroll built a 5-2 lead in the fourth set. A 5-0 Comet run put them ahead 7-5. The Blue Streaks answered with a 7-1 scoring spurt to go ahead 12-8. Both teams had 3-0 runs to keep the margin at four points, 15-11. Olivet closed the gap to two points on six occasions but never got any closer.
- Sophomore Olivia DuFore finished with a team-best 15 kills and .267 attack percentage.
- Louiselle tallied 10 kills.
- Freshman Madison Johnson dished out 26 set assists.
- Senior Drue Mullin recorded 14 digs.
- Cassi Calamunci was one of three players to reach double digits in kills, as she had 15.
- Carleen Ellerbruch and Jennifer Folmer registered 12 and 10 kills, respectively.
- Ally Bartolone collected 28 set assists.
- Calamunci notched a match-high 21 digs.

- In the first set, the Quakers used a 4-0 run to turn an 8-7 deficit into an 11-8 lead. The Comets fought back to tie the score at 14-14. From there, the Quakers scored four straight points and never relinquished their lead for the rest of the set.
- The second set saw Olivet take a 5-3 lead. Four Wilmington points made the score 7-5. The Quakers held the lead of the remainder of the set.
- Three kills and a service ace helped the Comets open the third set with a 4-0 lead. Wilmington answered with five kills and ace to go up 6-4. An Olivet point made the score 6-5 before five straight Quaker points put them ahead, 11-5. The Comets were not able to recover from that deficit.
- DuFore posted a double-double, 10 kills and 11 digs, to lead Olivet.
- Louiselle and sophomore Morgan Dillon were next with five kills apiece.
- Johnson had 16 set assists.
- Sofia Thomas slammed down 11 kills.
- Joy Bebe was next with 10 kills.
- Andie Dolven recorded 37 set assists.
- Blake O'Brien tallied 22 digs.
- Mullin finishes the season with 38 service aces, which ranks sixth in school history for a single season. Her 392 digs this season ranks ninth for a season.
- DuFore had 36 service aces, which ranks seventh for a season.
- Mullin ends her Comet career ranked fourth in service aces with 97 and fifth with 1,145 digs.
