Women’s volleyball team loses in three sets at Alma
ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women’s volleyball team lost in three sets to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Alma College this evening at Art Smith Arena. The Scots won the sets by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

ALMA, Mich. – The Olivet College women's volleyball team lost in three sets to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Alma College this evening at Art Smith Arena. The Scots won the sets by scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-19.

- In the first set, the Scots raced out to a 5-0 lead. Alma's lead stayed between five and seven points for the rest of the set.
- The Scots built a five-point lead, 12-7, in the second set. Five straight Olivet points evened the score. Alma answered with its own 5-0 run and did not trail for the rest of the set.
- In the beginning of the third set, Alma led by four points on two occasions. The Comets came back to close the gap to a single point. After the last time at 7-6, the Scots went on a 4-0 run. Olivet fought back to cut its deficit down to two points, 15-13. The Comets did not get any closer for the remainder of the set.
- Freshman Olivia DuFore recorded a team-best seven kills and two service aces.
- Senior Audrey Lama and sophomore Ellie Louiselle each had five kills.
- Freshman Makenna Slack registered a team-leading 23 set assists to go along with six digs.
- Sophomore Jill Arends also collected six digs.
- Sara Mejerle led all players with 12 kills and eight digs.
- McKenzie Smith and Haley Novak finished with six kills apiece.
- Novak and Megan Greenup tallied 15 and 10 set assists, respectively.
- Olivet is off until next Wednesday, March 31, when it hosts Albion College. First serve at the Cutler Event Center is at 6:30 p.m.
