Volleyball loses to Adrian and Kalamazoo in three games
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Adrian and Kalamazoo colleges in three games each today at the Upton Center in Olivet.

The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Adrian and Kalamazoo colleges in three games each today at the Upton Center in Olivet.
The Comets fell to Adrian by scores of 30-24, 30-16, 30-24. Despite the loss, freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) had a match-high 16 kills. Junior Mackenzie Heator (Union City) contributed 11 kills. Freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) had 33 assists, while sophomore Jennie Malm (Bridgman) posted a team-high 14 digs.
Olivet lost by scores of 30-27, 30-25, 31-29, to the Hornets. Schulz topped the front row attack with 17 kills, followed by Heator and junior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) with 16 and 11, respectively. Hicks finished with 41 assists. Junior Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/St. Philip) led the defense with 17 digs.
The Comets are back in action Wednesday, Oct. 3, when they travel to play Alma College at 6:30 p.m.
