The Olivet College volleyball team was defeated by Kalamazoo College in four games (30-19, 30-22, 22-30, 30-23) tonight at the Anderson Athletic Center in Kalamazoo.
Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) and junior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) led the Comets with 12 kills a piece. Junior Mackenzie Heator (Union City) was next with 11 kills. Freshman setter Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded a team-high 36 assist. Junior Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/St. Philip) finished with a team-high 21 digs, followed by Hicks and Tarrant with 20 and 14, respectively.
Olivet (2-10, 1-3 MIAA) now prepares for a busy weekend of volleyball. On Friday, the Comets host Calvin College at 6:30 p.m., and on Saturday, they travel to play Hope College at 3 p.m.
