Volleyball team beats Albion in five games
The Olivet College volleyball team came from behind to beat Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Albion College today at the Upton Center in Olivet. The Comets won the first game, 30-24, but lost the next two games, 30-25 and 30-20. Olivet rallied to win the fourth game, 34-32, and won the fifth game, 15-9.

Junior co-captain Mackenzie Heator (Union City) led the Comets with 20 kills and eight blocks. Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) was next with 19 kills, followed by junior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) with 11. Freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded 56 set assists. Tarrant and junior Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/St. Philip) each topped the defense with 25 digs.
Olivet returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 19, when it travels to play Kalamazoo College at 7 p.m.
