Volleyball team swept by Alma in three games
The Olivet College volleyball team ended its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) regular-season schedule with a three-game loss against Alma College tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet. The Scots (7-21, 3-13) won by scores of 30-25, 30-13, 30-28.

The Comets (5-23, 2-13 MIAA) were led by junior co-captain Mackenzie Heator (Union City), who had 11 kills, two errors on 44 attack attempts for a .205 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jennie Malm (Bridgman) also recorded double digit kills with 10. Freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) contributed a team-leading 31 assists. Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) led the defense with 18 digs, followed by juniors Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) and Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/ St. Philip) with 16 and 15, respectively.
Olivet will be back in action when it travels to play Alma in the play-in match of the 2007 MIAA Tournament next Monday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m.
