Volleyball team loses to Adrian in five games
The Olivet College volleyball team lost a five-game match against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Adrian College tonight at the Merillat Center in Adrian. The Bulldogs won the odd games, 30-15, 30-28, 15-10, while the Comets took the even games, 30-28, 30-28.

Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) led the Olivet attack with 18 kills, followed by juniors Mackenzie Heator (Union City) and Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) with 15 and 14 kills, respectively. Sophomore Jennie Malm (Bridgman) chipped in with 10 kills.
Heator also contributed four blocks, two solo and four assisted. Schulz had three blocks. Schulz and freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) each served up three aces. Tarrant topped the defense with 20 digs. Hicks tallied a match-high 52 assists.
The Comets will take a break from league play Thursday when they participate in the Siena Heights University Triangular. Olivet will play the host Saints in its first match at 4 p.m., followed by a match against Rochester College.
