The Olivet College volleyball team fell to York (Pa.) College in five games (30-23, 28-30, 29-31, 30-22, 15-12) this morning at Kresge Gymnasium in Albion.
The Olivet College volleyball team fell to York (Pa.) College in five games (30-23, 28-30, 29-31, 30-22, 15-12) this morning at Kresge Gymnasium in Albion. With the loss, the Comets posted a 1-2 record at this weekend's Albion College Quad. Yesterday, Olivet suffered a heartbreaking five-game loss to the host Britons and swept Rochester College in three games.
Freshman Ellen Schulz (Freeland) tallied a team-high 23 kills, while junior Mackenzie Heator (Union City) was close behind with 19 kills. Schulz also recorded three blocks. Junior Lindsey Tarrant (Metamore/Oxford) finished with 28 digs. She also led the Comets at the service line with five aces. Freshman Jenessa Hicks (Union City) recorded 51 assists.
Olivet will resume league play Tuesday, Oct. 26, when it travels to play Adrian College at 6:30 p.m.
