Volleyball team loses to MIAA leader Calvin in three games
The Olivet College volleyball team lost a three-game match to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Calvin College tonight at the Calvin Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids. The Knights, ranked 18th in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll, won by scores of 30-9, 30-15, 30-16.

The Olivet College volleyball team lost a three-game match to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) leader Calvin College tonight at the Calvin Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids. The Knights, ranked 18th in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll, won by scores of 30-9, 30-15, 30-16.
Sophomore Mackenzie Heator (Union City) led the Comets with five kills. Junior Jessica Petkus (Milford) contributed 14 set assists, while sophomore Courtney Lewis (Battle Creek/St. Philip) topped the defense with five digs.
Olivet will be in action Friday, Oct. 20, when it participates in the Tri-State (Ind.) University Triangular. At 4 p.m., The Comets play Tri-State for a MIAA match, and at 6 p.m., they play Huntington (Ind.) University for a non-conference match.
