The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Alma College, 30-18, 30-24, 30-6, tonight in the first round of the 2004 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Tournament at Cappaert Gymnasium in Alma.

Junior Katie Schaum (Marshall High School) had a team-high eight kills for Olivet. Freshman Marie Pierce (Climax-Scotts High School) was next with eight. Freshman Alicia Barton (Jackson High School) led the way with five blocks.
Freshman Jessica Petkus (Milford High School) was credited with 22 set assists. Freshman Kelli Roe (Galesburg Augusta High School) topped the defense with 10 digs. Petkus, Schaum and sophomore Shannon Hall (Taylor Truman High School) had nine digs apiece.
