Volleyball team beats Saint Mary's (Ind.) in four games
The Olivet College volleyball team beat Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College 30-27, 23-30, 30-24, 30-22, tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.

Junior Katie Schaum (Marshall High School) and freshman Marie Pierce (Climax-Scotts High School) led the Lady Comet (8-22, 3-12 MIAA) front row attack with 21 kills apiece. Pierce had a .340 hitting percentage with only five attack errors in 47 attempts. Sophomore Kara Brinker (North Branch High School) had a team-high five blocks.
Freshman Jessica Petkus (Milford High School) topped the team with 24 digs and 53 set assists. Schaum was second with 22 digs, followed by freshmen Kelli Roe (Galesburg Augusta High School) and Meghan Smith (Rochester Adams High School) with 17 each.
The Comets will wrap-up the 2004 regular season this Saturday, Oct. 30, at Albion College at 11 a.m.
