The Olivet College volleyball team snapped a four-match losing streak with a 30-15, 18-30, 30-22, 30-13 win against non-conference foe Rochester College tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.

The Lady Comets (5-11) recorded 23 service aces with sophomore Kara Brinker (North Branch High School) collecting a team-best six, followed by junior Katie Schaum (Marshall High School) and freshman Alicia Barton (Jackson High School) with five and four, respectively.
Schaum topped the Olivet front row attack with 19 kills. Barton added 12 while freshmen Katie Fiero (Jackson High School) and Marie Pierce (Climax-Scotts High School) had seven apiece. Freshman Jessica Petkus (Milford High School) had a team-high 50 set assists. Freshman Meghan Smith (Rochester Adams High School) led the defense with 19 digs.
Olivet is next in action Thursday, Sept. 30, when it resumes Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play at Alma College at 7 p.m.
