The Olivet College volleyball team fell to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Calvin College, 30-17, 30-12, 30-21, tonight at the Upton Center in Olivet.
Leading the front row attack for the Lady Comets was junior outside hitter Katie Schaum (Marshall High School) with eight kills followed by freshman right-side hitter Katie Fiero (Jackson High School) and freshman outside hitter Marie Pierce (Climax-Scotts High School) with four apiece. Schaum topped the defense with 11 digs while Pierce added nine. Freshman setter Jessica Petkus (Milford High School) contributed 20 set assists.
Olivet is next in action this Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10-11, when it participates in The College of Wooster (Ohio) Kilt Classic.
