The Olivet College volleyball team fell to non-conference foe Tri-State (Ind.) University, 30-21, 30-17, 30-19, tonight at the Upton Center.
Junior outside hitter Jamie Hutchison (Freeland High School) recorded a team-high eight kills to lead the Lady Comet front row. She was followed by sophomore outside hitter Staci Hawley (Sparta/Kent City High School) with six kills. Freshman setter Sarah Geasler (Laingsburg High School) topped the team with 18 set assists. Defensively, freshman libero Danelle Snyder (Union City High School) had a team-high eight digs.
Olivet is next in action tomorrow (Oct. 8) when it hosts NAIA foe Concordia University at 7 p.m. The Comets will resume Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Adrian College at 10 a.m.
