The Olivet College volleyball team fell to defending Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champ Alma College, 30-16, 30-19, 30-18, tonight at Cappaert Gymnasium.
Junior outside hitter Jamie Hutchison (Freeland High School) and freshman middle hitter Lori Graham (Alpena High School) each had four kills to lead the Lady Comets. Freshman setter Sarah Geasler (Laingsburg High School) topped the team with five set assists and freshman Danelle Snyder (Union City High School) had a team-high nine digs. Sophomore middle hitter Kendra Gilbert (Frankfort High School) recorded seven blocks, including five assisted blocks.
The Lady Comets will look to bounce back when they host Hope College on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 20, Olivet will participate in the Aquinas Invitational.
