Jeffries named MIAA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The University of Olivet senior Morgan Jeffries has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Jeffries finished second in the 60-meter dash and fourth in the 400-meter dash at the Hillsdale College Tune-Up. Both of her times, 8.14 in the 60 and 1:03.04 in the 400, were personal bests. In addition, the 60 time ranks third in UOlivet history and the 400 time is sixth all-time.
"Morgan has made big improvements in her training this year and it has translated to her getting faster on the track," said Olivet head coach Karen Lutzke. "She loves to compete and gives you her all when she steps on the track. We are looking forward to seeing her finish out her last indoor season with more personal best performances."
The Comets compete at the 2025 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. Trine (Ind.) University is the host school.
