Eldridge leads UOlivet women at Mrs. G Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. – Senior London Eldridge finished sixth in two running events to lead The University of Olivet women's indoor track and field team at the Trine (Ind.) University / Mrs. G Invitational.
FOR THE COMETS
- Eldridge placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash. In the preliminaries of the 60-meter hurdles, she ran a personal best time of 9.63 seconds, which is third-fastest in school history. Eldridge completed the 200-meter dash in 27.56 seconds. Lastly, she ran a season-best time of 8.52 seconds in the prelims of the 60-meter dash.
- Sophomore Aubrey Connelly posted a personal-best time of 29.28 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
- Junior Jamie Stiver had a lifetime-best in the mile run at 6:37.75.
- Freshman Jaelah Sloan notched the fourth-best indoor long jump mark in UOlivet history at 15 feet, 8-1/4 inches.
- Freshman Lily Russell recorded a season-best mark in the shot put (31 feet, 7-1/4 inches).
- Freshmen Kenzie Gray and Brooke Jankwietz tallied season-bests in the weight throw at 41 feet, 3 inches and 38 feet, 5 inches, respectively.
- Sophomore Ellie Baynes competed in the triple jump indoors for the first time in her career and posted the third-best mark in school history at 29 feet, 11-1/4 inches.
UP NEXT
- A few UOlivet student-athletes will be invited to compete in Friday events at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet on February 14. The rest of the team will participate in the Saturday events the next day.
