Women’s Track and Field: Eldridge leads Olivet to runner-up finish at Hillsdale Invitational

HILLDSALE, Mich. – Led by junior London Eldridge's school-record performance, The University of Olivet women's outdoor track and field team finished as the runner-up at the Hillsdale College Invitational. The Comets recorded 74 points, while the host Chargers took first with 311 points. Lake Superior State University was third (64), followed by Northwood University (37) and Siena Heights University (27).
- Eldridge broke her own school record in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking-in at 1:05.57. Her previous best time was 1:06.12, and the new time currently ranks No. 1 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. She recorded a season-best mark of 85 feet, 10 inches in the javelin.
- Freshman Morgan Jeffries ran a season-best time of 13.05 seconds in the 100-meter dash. The time is tied for sixth all-time at Olivet.
- Senior Allyson Stevens posted a personal-best time of 2:30.76 in the 800-meter run. The time slides into seventh all-time at Olivet. She also recorded a season-best mark of 92 feet, 3 inches in the javelin.
- Senior Lily Connelly recorded the second-fastest time in the 400-meter run at 1:02.16.
- Freshman Ella Baynes had a season-best mark of 14 feet, 11-1/4 inches in the long jump. The mark moves her up to ninth on the all-time Olivet list.
- The Comets compete at the Concordia University-Ann Arbor Cardinals "Legacy" Meet next Saturday, April 27.
