Albaugh and Jolliff capture event titles at MIAA Field Day
ALBION, Mich. – Led by event wins by senior Lillian Albaugh and junior Gabby Jolliff, the Olivet College women’s track and field team sits in fourth after day one of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day at Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.

ALBION, Mich. – Led by event wins by senior Lillian Albaugh and junior Gabby Jolliff, the Olivet College women's track and field team sits in fourth after day one of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Day at Albion College and at the Elkin Isaac Track.
- Albaugh captured the MIAA title in the shot put with a 42-foot toss. She is now a seven-time MIAA shot put champion, winning it every possible time during her collegiate career – three times indoors (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022) and three times outdoors (2019, 2021, 2022).
- Jolliff took first in the pole vault, clearing the bar 10 feet, 2 inches. She also placed sixth in the high jump with a personal-best mark of 4 feet, 10-1/4 inches.
- Freshman London Eldridge advanced to tomorrow's finals in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles. She had season-best time in both events, 15.94 and 1:07.16, with the later time breaking the school record.
- Posting personal-best times in the track preliminaries were:
- sophomore Allyson Stevens in the 400-meter dash (1:06.02)
- sophomore Tonya Tepin in the 400-meter dash (1:04.33)
- senior Taylor Thelen in the 800-meter run (3:03.29)
- Also setting season-best marks in the preliminaries were:
- freshman Berniah Alexander in the hammer throw (107 feet, 11 inches)
- sophomore Taryn Campbell in the 200-meter dash (29.85)
- sophomore Alex DeVault in the 200-meter dash (28.78)
- sophomore Taylor Wilsey in the 100-meter dash (13.47)

- The second day of the MIAA Field Day is tomorrow. The finals in the field events begin at 10 a.m., followed by track event finals at 1:30 p.m.
